About the artist Janice Daughters
Janice Daughters initially worked in a London advertising studio eventually going freelance. Her creative ventures include producing hand-painted ceramics, pen and ink illustrations, acrylic painting and photography. In the early days she mainly illustrated for recruitment advertising and designed logo and corporate identity brands. She now designs for greetings cards and jigsaw puzzles. Janices love of the countryside, along with vintage memorabilia, reflects in her artwork showing creative versatility.

When she has time, she likes to read, sew and knit, and spending time in her garden which she and her husband created from meadowland. It is now a haven for birds and wildlife as well as giving much pleasure and inspiration for her artwork.

As with all Gibsons jigsaws, they use 100% recycled puzzle board, FSC paper and commission the best artists from all around the world. The beautifully illustrated pieces are designed to fit perfectly together, in fact, they use the thickest puzzle board on the market.

Gibson's have made some positive changes to their processes, so you can be sure you're getting the same great puzzles and know they are kinder to the environment. Not only does the box have a fresh new look, but they have used recyclable clear labels to secure the lid instead of shrink wrap, reducing plastic waste. They use vegetable-based inks too. The gloss coating on the box gives extra protection and the puzzle pieces are stored in a plastic bag that can be recycled by most councils.Because the box is slightly smaller than previous designs, less room is needed to transport the puzzles, which reduces the carbon footprint and means you can store your puzzles more easily. There is also an artwork poster inside for you to reference whilst you piece together your lovely jigsaw puzzle.
